The Coalition represents more than 180 natural gas companies, equipment manufacturers and service providers, as well as environmental groups and government organizations interested in the promotion and use of natural gas and hydrogen as transportation fuels.

The Canadian Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance (CNGVA) is an alliance of natural gas vehicle industry partners including natural gas utilities, vehicle manufacturers, compression industries, NGV component and parts companies, governments, consultants, and R & D firms. The Alliance brings all NGV expertise together, particularly in the areas of market development and promotion, to collectively build and maintain an environment that encourages the further deployment of natural gas vehicles in Canada.

The Association was established in 1986 to provide the NGV industry with an international forum and an advocate for NGVs. It now has 500 corporate and individual members in 35 countries.

The Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute (AFVI) was founded in 2003 to provide high quality education, training, and technical assistance on the broad range of alternative fuels and vehicles available in today’s marketplace. AFVI is the education provider and information link between the alternative fuels and vehicles industry and public/private fleets and other proponents of alternative fuels. AFVI is fuel and technology neutral.

AFVI’s primary focus is to help improve our country’s transportation energy supply by facilitating market integration of new transportation fuels and technologies while minimizing environmental impacts.
